After studiously checking the postcode of St John's in the Square Woverhampton, and arriving in the town with well over half an hour to spare, having parked and walked to the nearest church to that postcode with over 15 minutes to spare, Christopher discovered that it was a more than a good thing he had allowed so much time to get to Wombourne & District Choral Society's concert with the City of Wolverhampton Choir. Having supposedly reached the church, it became obvious that their website gives the address of the church offices rather than the church itself (they are not in the same place). A tour of most of the churches in Wolverhampton - covering most denominations - then followed. Happily, the combined choirs hadn't started without him, and the performance of Haydn's Creation under Ian Clarke's direction was a great success.
