The acclaimed young tenor Jeremy Budd joined Singers Direct in January, following the departure of his (and SD's) great friend Nicholas Mulroy.  While we are extremely sad to lose Nicholas ("Sammy"), who has been tempted away from us by a top international agent, we are thrilled that Jeremy has joined the team in his stead.  Particularly renowned for his performances of Bach, Jeremy is nevertheless an extremely flexible singer, just reaching the perfect age to broaden his repertoire and tackle larger works.  His participation in Sir John Eliot Gardiner's performance of Bach's St Mattheus Passion at the 2008 BBC Proms brought Jeremy particularly glowing reviews, and SD's members look forward to singing alongside him in many performances in seasons to come.
